Spikes Asia 2016: 84 entries from India shortlisted
India received 84 shortlists on day one across the Design, Direct, Entertainment, Heathcare, Media, Outdoor, PR, Print & Outdoor Craft, Print and Publishing, Promo & Activation and Radio categories. 
 
Design (2)
 
Rediffusion Y&R and McCann Worldgroup India received a shortlist each for work done to the entries 'Dipper Condoms' and 'The Dancing Letters' respectively. 
 
Direct (9)
 
Nine Indian entries made the cut in this category.
 
Leo Burnett bagged four of them, three for work done on HDFC Life and one for Olx.
 
J. Walter Thompson's 'Blood Banking' for the Indian Red Cross Society has two shortlists. The agency also bagged a shortlist for work done on Optical Bazar. 
 
BBDO India and Ogilvy & Mather have a shortlist each for 'God Save The Ocean' and '#DadShareTheLoad', respectively.
 
Entertainment (2)
 
BBDO's '#DadShareTheLoad' for Ariel has a shortlist in this category too. Publicis also has a shortlist for 'A Giant's Story' for Ambuja Cement.
 
Film Craft (8)
 
Ogilvy & Mather has three shortlists for work done on 'Make Love Not Scars'.
 
BBDO's '#DadShareTheLoad' has two shortlists.
 
McCann Worldroup has two shortlists, one each for Radio Mirchi and PNB Metlife. 
 
Publicis' 'A Giant's Story' has also made the cut.
 
Additionally, MullenLowe Singapore's entry titled 'Chamki' for HUL has also made the cut in this category.
 
Healthcare (11)
 
India has carried on its good showing in this category from Cannes Lions 2016.
 
Medulla has seven shortlists in this category. It has three each for 'Last words' for IAPC and 'Housing Colonies for Slums' for Glaxosmithkline.
 
The other shortlist for the agency is for J&J.
 
Rediffusion Y&R and J. Walter Thompson have two shortlists each for work done on Tata Motors and 'Indian Red Cross Society' respectively.
 
Media (10)
 
BBDO India has three shortlists in this category, all three for work done on Ariel. Two entries are for '#DadShareTheLoad' and one is for 'Laundry Lessons for Dads'.
 
PHD also has three shortlists. Two of them are for  'Swachh Aadat Swachh Bharat' for HUL  and one is for 'Chamki'. 
 
Mindshare's '6 Pack Band' for HUL has two shortlists. 
 
MullenLowe Lintas India also has a shortlist for entry 'Help a child reach 5'.
 
O&M's 'God Save the Ocean' has also made the cut.
 
Outdoor (7)
 
Taproot Dentsu has five of the seven Indian shortlists in this category. Three of these shortlists are work Dulux, two are for IOAA.
 
O&M has two shortlists for Philips India.
 
PR (9)
 
Leo Burnett has five shortlists in this category. Three are for work done for Bajaj V and two are for Olx. 
 
BBDO India's '#DadShareTheLoad' has a shortlist in this category too. 
 
O&M (Make Love Not Scars), SapientNitro (The Troublemakers) and Publicis (A Giant's Story) have also made the shortlists
 
Print & Outdoor craft (9)
 
Ogilvy & Mather has six shortlists here, three each of School of Life and Philips India.
 
J. Walter Thompson has three for Sleep Apnoea. 
 
Print & Publishing (4)
 
Ogilvy & Mather (Philips India) and Taproot Dentsu (IOAA) have two shortlists each.
 
Promo & Activation (8)
 
BBDO's '#DadShareTheLoad' has two shortlists in this category, as does J. Walter Thompson for Blood Banking.
 
Leo Burnett also has two shortlists, one each for HDFC Life and Olx.
 
FCB Ulka Advertising has a shortlist for its entry 'World's first street name after slum kids'. Rediffusion Y&R has one for 'Dipper Condoms'.
 
Radio (5)
 
Grey and L&K Saatchi & Saatchi have two shortlists each. Grey's shortlisted work is for Radio City, while L&K's is for Thomas Cook. 
 
Contract's work for Truelcaller has also made the list.
 
Additionally, O&M Singapore's 'Poems from the womb' for Government of India has also made the cut.
